Hello darlings,
Happy new year, if somewhat belated, and may it bring you all lots of happy moments with loved ones and many new friends, may it take you to the most beautiful of places and shower you with shooting stars. To a 2013 full of adventures, the brightest of dreams and most wonderful surprises.
As some of you may know, I like to count my blessings at the end of each year, make a wish for the next one and plan ahead for the 12 months to come. First off, we were all lucky to discover the World wouldn't end on December 21st, but instead gave us more reasons to party and be happy. Every step of the way in 2012, I was making plans only to have them revised and changed due to completely unexpected events, but I'm glad to say, every time that happened, it was only for the good. I finally opened my own Etsy shop and started making jewellery (which may pretty soon be available in the aforementioned shop), left a job that didn't suit me anymore and found a new one that did, made a lot of new friends, discovered beautiful music, and, well, finally learned to ride a bicycle (about time, eh?).
I don't know what storms may await, but right now, I feel so at peace with myself and the World. I finally like my hair, its colour and its waves, my life, the constant rush, the art, the work, the clothes I wear and the shoes I walk in. I don't know how long this will last, but if I may, I'd wish the same to everyone, like Muslims do. May peace be on you.
Hard times will always come, but as long as you land on your feet, for the time being, you're exactly where you ought to be.
